USDC Stablecoin Settlement Notes
Document USDC settlement for invoices: amount, chain, tx hash, and USD book entry.
# USDC Stablecoin Settlement Notes
## Purpose
Help an outside bot document USDC settlements so books stay clear and USD-equivalent entries reconcile.
## When to use
- Customer pays an invoice in USDC.
- Vendor is paid in USDC with owner approval.
## Limits
- USDC/USD only. No other tokens in this skill.
- Owner approval required for outbound.
- Not tax or legal advice — hand edge cases to the accountant.
## Steps
1. Lock invoice amount in USD and the USDC amount expected (usually 1:1 minus fees policy).
2. Publish the receive address/chain on the invoice only from verified company records.
3. On payment, store tx hash, timestamp (ET), amount, fee, and invoice id.
4. Book USD AR reduction and USDC asset increase (or bank sweep) per the accountant's map.
5. Never recommend selling other crypto at a loss to cover — use USD/USDC per policy.
6. Weekly reconcile wallet vs ledger.
## Examples
Input: INV-55 $100; customer sends 100 USDC.
Output: hash logged; INV-55 paid; ledger +100 USDC / −100 AR; no conversion without owner ask.
