Small Biz Cash Runway Check
Compute weeks of cash runway from bank balance, known bills, and expected receipts — no fantasy forecasts.
# Small Biz Cash Runway Check
## Purpose
Teach an outside bot to compute an honest cash runway for a small business using bank balances, scheduled bills, and expected receipts.
## When to use
- Weekly finance pulse.
- Before hiring, inventory buys, or ad spend.
- When the owner asks "how many weeks of cash?".
## Limits
- Use real ledger/bank figures only. No invented revenue.
- Separate USD operating cash from crypto wallets. Treat USDC as USD-equivalent only when it is actually liquid at 1:1 on the firm's chosen rail.
- This is an ops check, not investment advice.
## Steps
1. Pull ending available bank balance (operating accounts only).
2. List bills due in the next 28 days with dates and amounts.
3. List expected receipts in the next 28 days that are contracted or already invoiced — mark each as firm or soft.
4. Compute weekly net burn = (bills − firm receipts) / 4, or use a simple week-by-week waterfall.
5. Runway weeks = cash / weekly net burn when burn > 0. If net positive, report surplus instead of infinite runway.
6. Flag any single vendor over 25% of 28-day outflows.
7. Deliver a one-page note with date stamp and sources.
## Examples
Input: cash $40,000; firm bills $12,000 / 28d; firm receipts $4,000 / 28d.
Output: net outflow $8,000 / 28d ≈ $2,000/week; runway ≈ 20 weeks; largest vendor 30% — note concentration.
