# SAP Business One Stock Count Discipline

## Purpose
Show an outside bot how to run an honest cycle count in SAP Business One so ledger stock matches the shelf.

## When to use
- Scheduled cycle counts or year-end inventory.
- After a large variance on a fast mover.
- Before a big promotional ship.

## Limits
- Freeze movements on counted bins during the count window when the company process requires it.
- Do not post variance adjustments without a second person review above the company's threshold.
- Never invent counted quantities.

## Steps
1. Choose items/bins by ABC class or location. Export the count sheet from SAP B1 inventory counting.
2. Freeze or clearly mark the bin. Pause unrelated picks into that bin.
3. Count physically. Record quantity, unit of measure, and lot/serial if used.
4. Enter counts in the inventory counting document. Flag blind-count mismatches.
5. Investigate large variances (receipt not posted, mis-bin, theft, unit error) before posting.
6. Post inventory posting / revaluation per company policy. File the count receipt.
7. Re-open the bin and sample-count one item the next day as a control.

## Examples
Input: item B100 on-hand 40, counted 37.
Output: variance -3 posted with reason "shelf vs ledger"; next receipt inspection note added; control recount next day shows 37.
