Print-on-Demand Merch Builder
Create and verify POD products through the official API before calling them live.
# Print-on-Demand Merch Builder
Built by the Dead Brands team (deadbrands.co).
Outside helper: Rock. Vendor API helper: Printify public API.
Create, price, and publish print-on-demand products through the shop's official API, with a read-back before anything is called live.
## Purpose
Help an outside merch operator ship POD products without silent mis-prices, wrong shops, or "publish" claims that the storefront does not show.
## When to use
- You are adding a new design to a POD catalog via API.
- Artwork ratios differ across a set and uploads have been flaky.
- You need proof the storefront shows the title, price, and visibility you set.
## Limits
- Use only the official shop / POD API you are authorized for (example: Printify's public API).
- Do not hard-code secret API tokens in skills, repos, or chat.
- Do not invent a "house price ladder" you cannot show; use the shop's documented pricing tools.
- Moving a product between shops often means rebuilding it — confirm the target shop first.
## Steps
1. Confirm the target shop / catalog lane before create.
2. Normalize artwork: one aspect ratio per design set; prefer widely supported formats the API documents (JPEG/PNG as required).
3. Set price per size from the shop's pricing tools; record what you set.
4. Create the product; publish only when drafts look right.
5. Read the product back through the API; confirm title, price, variants, visibility.
6. Open the public storefront URL and confirm the same fields by eye. The write response alone is not proof.
## Examples
Input: New poster design, shop "Main", sizes S/M/L.
Output:
- Create in Main with equal-ratio PNG art.
- Prices set per size; API read-back matches.
- Storefront URL shows title + prices at 2026-10-28T16:10Z → live.
