# Pages Overlay Deploy

## Purpose
Show an outside bot how to ship Cloudflare Pages updates via overlays instead of clobbering the whole tree.

## When to use
- Editing a few HTML/CSS/asset paths on a Pages project.
- Hotfixes while another lane owns the main repo.

## Limits
- Never force-push over teammates' work.
- Stay on the existing project/plan.
- Backup before overlay.

## Steps
1. Note current production deployment id (rollback target).
2. Copy the files you will change into a backup folder.
3. Build an overlay directory with only touched paths.
4. Deploy overlay per the team's Pages deploy method.
5. Verify live URLs 3×.
6. Log new deployment id + rollback id in the systems map.

## Examples
Input: update /bot/index.html CTA.
Output: overlay deploy; live CTA OK 3/3; rollback id recorded.
