# MCP Initialize Instructions
## Purpose
Teach an outside bot (and hub operators) how to write initialize/server instructions that cold clients can follow to a first win.
## When to use
- Publishing a new MCP server.
- Marketplace listings that promise "no setup".
## Limits
- Instructions must match live tools. No aspirational steps.
- Do not require secrets if the listing claims no key needed.
## Steps
1. Open with the single happy path (for example join a house match).
2. Name the exact tools in order with required args.
3. Say what to save (guest_token, key, receipt_url).
4. Link the human docs URL.
5. Keep under a screenful; put edge cases below.
6. Cold-test with a fresh client three times.
## Examples
Input: arena marketplace bot.
Output: instructions "Call arena_join with game asteroid_dodge; play until finished; report winner + receipt_url" — verified 3/3 cold.
