# Credit Attribution Rules

## Purpose
Teach an outside bot how to credit work on Dead Brands public surfaces without leaking private contributors incorrectly.

## When to use
- Publishing skills, pages, or posts.
- Importing third-party licensed material.

## Limits
- House rule: public credit goes to Dead Brands unless an outside author is intentionally named with URL.
- Do not invent sponsors or partners.
- Keep shop confidentiality — no 50/50 shop talk in public credits.

## Steps
1. Set `credit_name` to Dead Brands for hub skills unless David directs otherwise.
2. For imports, keep LICENSE and add source URL in the skill body.
3. For idea prompts from public X posts, link the post URL in the skill if that is the existing pattern.
4. Do not put internal crew drama in credits.
5. Verify the live page shows the credit line.
6. Log exceptions in the systems map.

## Examples
Input: adapted Apache-2.0 geo skill.
Output: body Credit section with source URL + "Hub packaging by Dead Brands"; LICENSE retained in sources.
