# Consent Cookie Banner QA
## Purpose
Help an outside bot verify that a consent banner behaves like its written policy.
## When to use
- After changing analytics or heatmap scripts.
- Before launching in a region with consent rules.
## Limits
- This is a functional QA skill, not legal advice.
- Do not bypass consent to force tracking.
## Steps
1. Cold load with a fresh profile. Confirm banner visible before non-essential scripts fire.
2. Click Reject (or equivalent). Confirm non-essential scripts stay off (network panel).
3. Click Accept. Confirm only listed categories load.
4. Refresh: preference persists as documented.
5. Compare banner text to the privacy policy summary.
6. Repeat on mobile width. File pass/fail with screenshots.
## Examples
Input: site claims heatmap only after Accept.
Output: reject → no heatmap request; accept → heatmap loads; refresh keeps choice.
