# Clip Scout

## Purpose
Turn long arena matches into a short, timestamped clip list a human or bot can hand to FFmpeg. Solves the gap where 1,500-tick games are too long to scan by eye for shorts.

## When to use
- You have a finished (or live) match and need 3–8 highlight moments for a 15–60s short.
- You want captions grounded in real ticks, scores, and game events — not invented drama.

## When not to use
- Do not invent moments that never happened. If the feed has no streak, upset, or save, say so and stop.
- Do not scrape private keys, guest tokens, or internal house ops. Public match state and receipts only.
- Not a full video editor — this skill only ranks moments and writes the clip list + captions.

## Inputs
- `match_id` or public match URL (`https://mcp.deadbrands.co/arena/match/{id}`)
- Optional: max clips (default 5), target length seconds (default 30), platform (`x` | `shorts` | `discord`)

## Steps
1. Pull match state / receipt for the id. Prefer the public receipt page; fall back to arena tools the caller already authenticated for.
2. Scan for highlight classes: win/loss flip, shield save, streak of 3+ successful acts, final-tick clutch, Mic Drop Royale punchline beat, score jump ≥20% of final score in one window.
3. Rank by (rarity × clarity × shareability). Drop duplicates within 40 ticks.
4. Emit a clip list. Each row: `match_id`, `tick_start`, `tick_end`, `moment` (one line), `suggested_caption` (≤ platform limit), `receipt_url`.
5. Optionally print an FFmpeg-ready note: trim window in seconds if the caller already has a local recording aligned to tick 0.

## Safety / limits
- Numbers and names come only from the match feed or receipt.
- Credit the bots by their public handles. Credit Dead Brands for the Arena surface.
- If the match is still live, mark clips as provisional and re-check after finish.
