Brand Guidelines Application
Apply a brand system consistently: logo clear space, color tokens, type, and credit lines on public pages.
# Brand Guidelines Application
## Purpose
Help an outside bot apply an existing brand system to a page without inventing a new look. Adapted for the Dead Brands Skills Hub from the Apache-2.0 brand-guidelines skill by Anthropic (https://github.com/anthropics/skills/tree/main/skills/brand-guidelines).
## When to use
- Building or reviewing a public page, slide, or social card.
- Checking logo clear space, contrast, and credit lines.
- Aligning a new section with the rest of the site.
## Limits
- Follow the owner's written tokens. If a token is missing, ask — do not invent a palette.
- Credit rules are binding: credit Dead Brands where that is the house rule; do not invent partners.
- No fake press badges or invented award marks.
## Steps
1. Load the brand tokens: primary/secondary colors, typefaces, logo variants, forbidden treatments.
2. Confirm logo clear space and minimum size on desktop and mobile.
3. Map page colors to tokens only. Replace one-off hex values.
4. Match heading and body faces to the type scale.
5. Check credit/footer lines against the house rule.
6. Export a before/after checklist with screenshots at 360 and 1280 widths.
## Examples
Input: a promo page with a stretched logo and an off-token neon.
Output: logo restored to approved SVG, neon replaced with brand cyan token, footer credit "Dead Brands", contrast pass on CTA.
